What I’ve come to realize, and explore in my TEDx talk, is the profound impact self-compassion has on our entire worldview. Self-compassion shapes how we see the world. It transforms every interaction we have, allowing us to see a kinder world because we approach it with a better outlook.
If you’re too hard on yourself, remember this: somewhere along the way, you learned to be that way. We’re shaped by our lived experiences. Before we can truly love and accept ourselves, we first have to understand ourselves. So stay curious about why you show up the way you do, and give yourself some grace. You deserve it.

I’ve been thinking a lot recently about the word “potential.” Many people use it to describe something that could exist, a possibility, or a perhaps. For a lot of my life, I felt like I lived in that state of becoming, on the verge of being, or doing something great. Maybe that sounds familiar to you.
Something shifted in me that changed my perception. The root of that switch? A shift of my own. I had spent so long trying to be something, and instead of yielding results, the effort only led to a lot of exhaustion and suffering.
